So good! But be warned, if you know nothing about the Sandman and this is your first toe-dip into the world it is pretty dark in places. The full cast was excellent. Highly recommend for all Neil Gaiman Fans.
There's an avid following for this, but it just didn't do anything for me at all. No emotional connection at all to the characters. Plotwise very disjointed. I've never read the graphic novels upon which this is based yet I can imagine this working better in that medium. The translation to audiobook just doesn't work. It's a real shame because the audio production itself is phenomenal: dozens of voice artists, music, soundscapes, it's all really very well done. Still, the obvious quality of the production just wasn't enough to raise the story, such as it was, into something enjoyable.
I'm glad I listed to this, but it was very different. Very well done and I enjoyed several of the stories, but overall not my cup of tea.

Aber zu kurz! Das Hörspiel umfasst nur die Hälfte (oder ein Drittel?) der Comics.... naja, ist ja auch "Teil 1", hätt ich halte lesen müssen). Aber man will sofort weiterhören.
Teil 2 erscheint später im Jahr, und obwol ich mein Audible Abo gekündigt habe (wegen unbenutzbarer App) werde ich mir das holen.

The narration was amazing. That is about all I enjoyed. I understand it can be difficult to translate a graphic novel into an audiobook, but i found the netflix show adaptation much more entertaining. Some of the subplots were very boring and there was a lot of abuse conveyed on women that I felt was over the top and added for no apparent reason.
