Truthfully would’ve rated this a 2.5. I like my fantasy with a twist of smut and this was more smut with a twist of fantasy. It was a quick, fun read & I’ll be reading the second book to see where this goes

What the heck just happened? I am truly still shocked and trying to wrap my head around this ending. This book was unlike anything I’ve read in a while and it was dangerous from start to finish.
This unique story is full of interesting and compelling characters. The story is a twisted web of lies and destruction. You will never see the ending coming and it will shock you to the core.
The danger levels are like a billion and the heat level will set you on fire. This book is not innocent by any means and definitely contains some dark triggers. So just be prepared because this is a ride that will have you questioning everything you ever believed in. I am impatiently awaiting the next chapter….

If you like dark romantasy, this is a book for you. The MMC is dark, super dark. Over-protective, possessive and manipulative and absolute perfection. The spice was well written and not over done.
I thought the use of magic in this universe was really well done and I really enjoyed how it was wielded by the FMC.
Also I've seen many reviews commenting on how predictable the ending was but I didn't see it coming and loved it!
I do think the world building could have been done a little better, especially around the Coven itself as I don't think it was explained well. I also felt we rarely saw the background characters and those relationships. The FMC references being close friends with Della and Iban but we've barely seen them interact.
But overall I would definitely recommend this if you like a spicy dark read

Not the greatest story because I would've liked to learn more about Willow's background and how her upbringing was living in hiding, maybe learn more about all the characters in general. I also think the story could've slowed down a little, idk it just felt a little rushed, but overall it was still enjoyable. And I'm curious to see how the next book will play out.
