Honestly, I liked this book even though the plot was shaky as hell. Wish the two Coven leaders hadn't been killed, they were the most interesting characters for me.

The book started off with great potential, even though the plot felt flimsy from the beginning. As the book went on though, the already flimsy plot fell apart completely. There was no driving action. Everything felt manufactured as a way to get the two main characters to lust after each other with no clear motivation behind the choices being made, and nothing driving the plot forward.
The last 50 pages or so were well written and had the most plot. If the whole book was written like that, it could have been a lot better.
Also, the description of this book is not accurate at all, so much so that it kinda feels like you’re being tricked into reading it. It is not at all about “thirteen promising students destined to change the world.” It seems the description could have fit the first draft of this book, and what actually got published is very different. If I had the right expectations going into it, I probably would have enjoyed it more.
All that being said, I still the read the whole book in three days. It was an easy read and held my attention.

This book was pretty good. It was about witches and demons. It had me on my toes mainly about everything else. These characters were something else. I can't wait to read the next book to see how these two get along! 🫶❤️
