This was my first book for the spooky season and I did enjoy it. I like the story of witches and vessels, and the end was quite the cliffhanger. Grabbed the second right away to continue on with the Coven of Bones. (Also love the different lines and powers each line of witches has).

I have conflicted feelings about this one. There were plot holes everywhere, inconsistent characterization, cumbersome writing, etc, but I still enjoyed parts of it. It felt like the book was written so that particular scenes could be acted out, which isn't good. I'm not sure if I'll read the second book, maybe if I find it used somewhere.

Just don’t waste your time. I was uncomfortable the entire time, it was disgusting… this is not how you write smut, I swear it feels like this was written by a man with an underage girl fetish. The plot was missing so much and it had the potential but it just didn’t make sense, so many things missing. It was inconsistent, gross and just not for me
