my first EVER 1 star review. don't waste your breath on reading this. it was so horrible and such a disappointment. because the premise sounded so good!!! but i literally had no idea what was happening the whole time???? it was so poorly plotted, poorly explained, i don't even know what the plot was.
i love spice, but why was this school so fucking sexual??? like these "students" are sex slaves for the vessels???? what????? the two main characters had absolutely no chemistry- the first time they met he was like "i cant wait to have my cock between your legs" dude chill out it's been 5 minutes.
it's set at a school but there's no classes or any kind of dark academia ANYTHING. oh i forgot, that would require it to have ANY SEMBLANCE OF A PLOT OR SCENES THAT MADE SENSE!!!!!
in conclusion, i have no idea why this is rated so highly. the writing is horrible, the plotting was horrible, and i was angry the entire time while reading it.

it's a dark romance. okay slay, cool, love that. but the MMC is so fucking unlikeable and does not have a single redeeming quality. it's not a "i hate to love him" it's a, this guy sucks so bad and does not give me butterflies and i genuinely have no idea how they're together.
i listened to this book and the narrator made the experience even WORSE!!!!! the voices gave me the willies and it kept getting LOUDER and soft and LOUD and soft every three fucking words!!!!!!!

This was a good book, about witches and “demons” with fangs. So vampires right? NO
Smut, Witches, Enemies to Lovers, Demons, Dark Academia, and Villains winning. I ate this up! Cannot wait till the next book.
