I LOATHE when you take a strong female character and make her into such a doormat that can’t say no by the end. Terrible book, 0 out of 10 waste of my freaking time, would not recommend. Now I’m annoyed as he ll and have to find another book to read with a good female lead before I can go to sleep.

I tried so hard not to DNF this book but reading it was like watching beige paint dry. Boring and poorly written. Very little to no world building, no tension, the characters were flat, and a good chunk of the book had me confused, not because of how complex it was, but because of the writing and lack of clarity it offered. A book with this many trigger warnings should not be this bland, this cringey.
