I really enjoyed this book! It’s a historical mystery with some romance added. I really like that the main character is a woman (I’m used to Sherlock Holmes or Agatha Christie where they focus mainly on the plot) and that the author didn’t just gloss over how gender and class affected people. However! I would have liked to see the issue of the ship cargo (minor spoiler- the enslaved people ) dealt with some more.
