I was actually positively suprised by this one.
Art & Paneling: The art is not my style and nothing about the panels is wowing, it is however readable in its structure, and its not the worst art I ever seen. It has a "ass-tit" problem and unessary underwear scenes but at least removes the voyeristic caught in it thing that was for example in "When in Rome", and Holly, the underage kid is not shown half naked all the time, unfortunaly this has to be noted as suprising me.
Story & Characters: While I dont doubt that the setting/story line of sex work was in part chosen to shock and objectify her, the story itself deals with it better then I though it would. I also like that the emotional heart and conflict for most part is between Selina and her sister, and also how Holly is an important aspect of her life, surrounding her by more female characters and showing her vulnurable side (which includes anger!) not in a way to make her more approchable for man but to study her character makes me happy, makes her feel more real for me. Batmans feature in this is distracting and has some of the worse moments of it.
