The biggest mystery in this book is how a woman pretending to be a man who ended up as a Catholic Bishop came to have descendants. I know that many Catholic Priests, especially at that time, did not keep their vow of celibacy, but for a Bishop to have given birth and still have nobody realise that she was not a he stretches the bounds of credulity.
That would have been a much more meaty mystery to solve than the one of where the drugs were coming from, which was pretty obvious from the start, or whether there were supernatural things going on.
That said, I enjoyed the book and will read the next one.

I enjoyed this simple little mystery. I would like to go back and read the earlier stories to understand the relationships between the characters. Ruth Galloway becomes mixed up in a homicide when the museum curator ends up dead when he opens a coffin. Fun read for mystery lovers.

Up until this novel, I've enjoyed this series, but #4 was too full of mystical nonsense for my liking. The story lines are also getting repetitive - there's a few threads here that have been overworked. Time to move on.
I'm really hoping that Griffiths kicks things up a notch in #5 or I might just not bother with any more.
