Felt to me like a book warning about the dangers of apathy through our super detached protagonist. I found him pretty annoying, but I did enjoy the bluntness and humour Camus infused into the story.

Idk it’s past midnight and i’m sleepy so I don’t have much more to say on it rn.

Someone once said in reflection of this book that this is the type of guy you would avoid at a party and in my opinion Meursault is not too far off a guy I’ve dated.

How fun and not entirely insufferable to read.

I said that people never change their lives, that in any case one life was as good as another and that I wasn't dissatisfied with mine here at all.

Although the perspective Camus presents in The Stranger is painfully male, I definitely found some validation and self-awareness in its oppressive atmosphere and robotic prose. Not a particularly enjoyable read, honestly, but it's encouraged me to research absurdism if nothing else.
