This book was for sure a bit slow because there aren't really multiple conflicts for the MCs (aka pretty low angst) so if you're into more angsty reads, I wouldn't recommend this one.
I personally didn't mind it too much as the Stephanie's writing style still kept me engaged and I did find it realistic in a sense.

Loved would like to buy this one. There were several parts that I identified with in Kristina.
What a great book! I haven’t read many books about middle age, post divorce characters navigating life as a single parent but this one was spot on (speaking from experience lol). Both characters were believable and relatable. It’s easy to separate your vacation persona and your mom/daily life persona but the tricky part is finding a middle group and this author nailed it!

I absolutely adored Leo and Kristina’s story. After meeting Kristina in An Unexpected Turn I was hurting for her with a crumbling marriage, I was so happy that Stephanie Rose gave her this chance at happiness.
As a Mum I could relate to Kristina so much; it’s easy to lose yourself when you are caring for young children and putting them first. “Leo made me feel beautiful and brave in a way no one else ever had.” I was swooning over Leo from the start. The way he made Kristina feel important and gave her his undivided attention, he helped her come out of her shell and recover from the rubble of her failed marriage. The connection and chemistry was there between them from the start. In between burning up the bedsheets they talked and began to know each other, confided in and supported each other, helping to heal the vulnerabilities they both had. The family they created and their happily ever after was just perfection.

I was reluctant but I’m glad I read it! Great balance of plot and spice. Great read and can’t wait to read more of this author’s work.
