My first Sue Grafton book and I have to say I was not overly impressed. I read it in about two days but it was a very typical mystery book - no major plot twists, not hard to figure out. I think I would have to give her another go before writing her off completely - her A,B,C, etc. books seem to be so popular. But if there are all like this one, I won't be a Sue Grafton follower.

Much better than the first 2 of the series - the ending isn't quite as predictable & easy to see long in advance as those. I'll admit to a healthy amount of eye rolling in one of the final scenes where Kinsey is taking a long time to discover evidence, though. As if the bad guy is just gonna let her take her sweet time finding that. *shrug* Ah well. Overall, I enjoyed it.

So far so good... if you like the Kinsey Millhone books you have to read this one to get to the seemingly thousands of others!

I lost track of the characters a bit in this one, maybe my own fault for doing other things while listening, but still enjoyed it. Kinsey is a great character.
