socrates really is the most annoying bastard

Plato's magnum opus and probably the best sampler of his most influential thinking. This is a long book with tedious portions, but there are great passages like Plato's definition of the philosopher king, the theory of forms and his famous allegory of the cave. These minor sections alone are worth the price of admission, even if the dialogue is primarily concerned with questions of justice and governance. Plato casts a long shadow over the history of political philosophy with this book and if only for that reason alone, The Republic is a must-read.

Así como hice con Spinoza, y como le aprendí a alguien de por aquí, dejaré de calificar la filosofía y las novelas filosóficas porque me falta mucho, mucho para poder tener una opinión.
