It got pretty slow in the middle, but the breakneck ending more than made up for it. Don't sleep on this one if you're exploring Austen, Anne Elliot and Captain Frederick Wentworth are just as remarkable a couple as any of her others. I especially recommend this book to people-pleasers and anyone who feels stifled in a toxic family or friend group.
Moderate: Toxic relationship, Gaslighting, Chronic illness, Confinement, Emotional abuse, Medical content, and Misogyny
