Just meh. I think I’ll stick to the Netflix series.
Lovely read. Enjoyed the story. Picked this up after watching the first season on Netflix. The book, like the series, has a problematic scene.

this is my third time reading this book and my rating has never changed, which is so funny because i ALWAYS change ratings after a reread. the series was better, that’s all i’ll say.
I watched the show first and I felt they did a fine adaptation! I was picturing the characters from the show as I listened to this book.
The book was good in the beginning but after that sexual assault scene, I could not justify Daphne and Simon’s relationship and found it irredeemable. It might be because I watched the show first and have a bias, but I fear the show may be better than the book.
