Emotional, beautiful and lovely story. All kinds of feels reading this. Loved the characters too. This author really nailed this story. It was well developed with a clear well thought out plot. Some of my favorite tropes were the small town component, the age gap, and the second chance at love. The connection between the main characters was evident. I really liked seeing things progress with these characters. This was an excellent read. And I highly recommend reading.

Oh my goodness, I loved loved loved this story. I thought i knew Wells from the previous books but I was wrong. This guy is so amazing. He has the sweetest and biggest heart. I really felt for Victory and I admire her for her strength. These two together are magic. The laughter, the sarcasm, the games, the walkabouts, talkabouts and everything in between.
Amazing story!
Amazing story!
The first book in a series that brings together two of this author's favorite families, this romance masterfully explores the complexities of a relationship where one of the protagonists has already found the love of her life and lost him too soon. With a small reverse age gap between the hero and heroine, the story is both poignant and humorous. Playboy Wells Silver meets Victoria “Victory” Braden at a time when she was still grappling with grief, having not yet moved on from Harvey. As they spend more time together, she begins to rediscover her passions and interests. But she's not ready to let go of her grief, and Wells's realisation of this leaves him devastated. It takes losing Wells for Victory to understand that loving someone else doesn't betray her husband's memory, so she heads to Silver Island, with its throng of certifiably crazy inhabitants and their prank wars to claim her man.
Flirting With Trouble had everything you could want in a romance running the gamut from friendship to love with a few emotional bumps in the road to navigate. With wells and Victory’s quick-witted banter, thrilling adventures, and heartwarming interactions with familiar characters, not withstanding treasure maps, scavenger hunts, and word games. Victory's second chance at love made their journey all the more precious, tugging my heart strings and making me laugh in equal measure.

“There you are” - I can’t not see Wells when I hear this phrase - it will always be associated with him.
Wells Silver you stole my heart right out of this book. I always expected you to be the playboy with no sense of commitment or taking things seriously, but you stole my heart with all of your swoon.
Victoria Braden is an independent bad ass and she deserved all the swoon. Enter Wells. We’ve met these two before when Wells tried his luck and was immediately shot down by Victory, we will never let that down lol.
This book is full of romance. Wells will steal your heart and guard it with everything. He spoils her. He is patient with her. He looks up to her. He definitely dug his way into Victory’s heart whether she wanted it or not.
It was supposed to be a one night stand and it turned into a whole lot more. We have Walkabout Wednesdays, Flitabout Fridays and Scoutabout Saturdays. We have banter that will have you giggling and swooning (I know! I’m using that word a lot because gosh SWOON).
Melissa Foster had me eating this book up! My heart was all over the show here but I loved every minute of it.
Wells and Victory got 5 swoon worthy 💜
Victory and Wells are fantastic together. He does so much to bring out a side to her that she has long ignored while she has him reevaluating what has been missing from his life. When they are together, they are playful and fun, something she seems to have been lacking since her husband’s death.
Unfortunately she’s still holding on to her old life and struggles with guilt at the idea of moving on. Wells is determined tho and works hard to break her out of the box she’s put herself in. It’s not all smooth going, and there is a lot of back & forth between them, but it is pretty low angst with no big third act blow up which I liked. We get growth, letting go, and moving to a new stage of life.
A mixture of lightheartedness and emotion and steam, Foster gives readers a delightful story for the first in her new series. Returning readers have been waiting to see Wells fall and will be happy to see some of their favorite couples again, along with a peek at who might be meeting their match soon.
(While it is technically a stand alone, I feel like their story actually started earlier and while we were given the low down on what happened during this book I think it really helped to have been there. It does give the feeling of kinda joining a story already in progress and while fun for returning readers I think that could be frustrating for some.)
**I voluntarily read and reviewed a complimentary copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.**

Hello Wells Silver! He immediately won me over with his confidence and flirtiness and his determination to get to know Victory. Victory’s got pretty high walls, and Wells was determined to knock them down. Wells melted my heart with how he acknowledged Victory’s late husband and got to know him. I loved Wells’ patience and was living for the various names he came up with for days they would spend time together. I loved Victory finding love again (she deserves all the love and happiness), and I loved Wells being the one to bring her back to life. So good!!

Flirting with Trouble by Melissa Foster
Love in Bloom ~ Silvers at Silver Island #1
First in a new series by one of my favorite authors ~ Love stepping back into this interlocked multi-series all-encompassing wonderland filled with happily ever afters for so many deserving couples ~ Like ~ Wells & Victoria ~ BIG Grins!
What I Liked:
* Victoria “Victory” Braden: wealthy, widow, closed in and still grieving(?), perhaps ready to mov on if there is a catalyst, from a big family, had an interesting childhood world (not globe) trotting, driven, promoter, able to see potential talent, perfect for and with Wells
* Victoria “Victory” Braden: wealthy, widow, closed in and still grieving(?), perhaps ready to mov on if there is a catalyst, from a big family, had an interesting childhood world (not globe) trotting, driven, promoter, able to see potential talent, perfect for and with Wells
* Wells Silver: restaurateur, wealthy, trust fund not tapped into, individualist, a “player” till he meets the one, difficult backstory with parents that are…different, envisions a future that he is working toward, younger than Victory though that age-gap is insignificant to him…LOVED him!
* That I could step into the story on book one of a new series in a “world” that has been crated by the author and seamlessly meet unknown and also previously met characters from earlier books and read without needing a guide
* The growth of the relationship between Vic & Wells – age IS just a number and there is a whole lot more than age that makes a relationship work
* The prank that was played on Wells & Vic and how they turned it to their favor
* Harvey: Victoria’s deceased husband that had a big impact on the relationship though he was never seen on the page
* Watching the couple grapple with potential issues, listening to them communicate as mature adults as they worked through issues, and seeing them both grow and develop as they moved forward individually and together
* Knowing that there will be another book soon
What I didn’t like:
* I really can’t think of anything…everything worked in the story…perhaps having to wait for the next book?
Did I like this book? Yes
Would I read more in this series/by this author? Yes
Thank you to Melissa Foster for the ARC – This is my honest review

Wells has been head over heels for Victory since he first lay eyes on her, but she's always rejected his advances. He knows she's built strong walls around herself since she lost her husband, but he's determined to scale those walls and find his way into her heart. He may have been a playboy before her, but now that she's in his sights, he only sees her, and will always only see her. Now he just has to convince her that they're meant to be.
Victory is a smart, ruthless CEO, and a woman whose heart has been frozen since she lost her husband. She doesn't want to feel, knows she won't ever feel, again because her husband was it for her. Then along comes a gorgeous, YOUNGER playboy who's sneaking past her defenses. She's trying to tell herself she and Wells are just having a fling, but even she doesn't really believe that because Wells isn't just a charming flirt, he's there for her, standing by her side, persistently chipping away at the ice she's kept her heart encased in. She needs to take that leap with him, even if she can't help feeling guilty for moving on.
These two got me right in the feels! I wanted to wrap Victory up in a big hug, how could I not? She was a woman grieving her first love and didn't see herself ever being in a position to open herself back up to those kind of big feelings. But how could she not fall for Wells? He wasn't just a charming, gorgeous flirt, he was the real deal, and her heart knew it, even when she didn't want to admit it, couldn't get past her guilt. Romance can fun, it can be sweet, and sexy, but the very best romance has something more - heart. Victory and Wells have more than their fair share of heart, and I adored every word of them falling in love. The Silvers prove just why Melissa is one of my very favorite authors, and I'm impatient for Fitz's story next, The Trouble with Flings.

Flirting with Trouble is a fantastic start to a new series. It's romantic, sexy, and full of laughs and heart. I couldn't put this book down.
Victoria and Wells were perfection. They are total opposites but their attraction is simply too strong to deny. Wells is the reformed playboy (and Silver Island royalty) who falls fast and hard for Victoria. He was a man down bad and I couldn't get enough of him. Their chemistry was smoking hot! Their is a reason this is fast burn spice haha! Victoria and Wells will definitely have readers in their feels. This also has an age gap where she's older which was a nice change. Both characters are well written and feel realistic.
I enjoyed being back on Silver Island but with a new family to follow. It's the familiar island small town I've grown to love but we get to see it through different a lens. I also am excited to see the rest of the Silver family. The antics and sibling love was a lot of fun to read.
I fall more in love with Melissa's writing with each new release, and this book is no exception. I cannot wait for more books in this series! Would highly recommend!

Wes and Vic are going to have you reaching for some tissues.
The entire book had me sat. Not only was Wells one of the best MMCs I have read in a while... Vic was also just as amazing to read. Both of these characters had baggage but navigating it together seemed to be the focus. He wanted to be a better man for her and she wanted to finally move on from the loss of her husband.
It is important to note that Vic never forgot about her late husband. In fact, he was just as part of this couples journey as Wells' family (who helped him along the way in figuring out which approach was best to ensnare Vic). Vic's journey of processing her grief and understanding why she felt so stuck is important to mention as well.
Flirting with Trouble is going to take you on an emotional journey. Not only will it keep you entertained the ending had me kicking my feet and giggling.
