𝐅𝐥𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐓𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐞 is the first book in the new Silvers at Silver Island series by Melissa Foster, featuring a spicy summer romance for Wells and Victory! I love a good reformed playboy arc, and when Wells was ready to fall he fell 𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘥! No one deserved another chance at love more than a widow who has kept herself closed off for 5 years! The fiery chemistry Victory generated with her younger “boy toy” was oh-so-hot and immensely entertaining! They brought all the banter and the feels, as they built their relationship through sweet moments, passion, understanding, fun family meddling, and small town antics. Wells impressed me with his romantic side, and I loved how respectful he was of her emotional vulnerabilities. I also loved that Victory was truly a boss in business and a total inspiration as a woman. I couldn’t get enough of them, and I’m so ready to see where this new series in this interconnected world goes!
I received an ARC for free, and am leaving this review voluntarily.

✨ARC Review✨
This was my first Melissa Foster book, and l'm about to go broke reading her backlist. 😂 I loved Wells so much. He was so patient and understanding with Victory. Never pushed her or pushed her just enough. Honestly, this book was so refreshing with how they communicated with each other. I can't get enough of it.
Big thanks to The Author Agency and Melissa Fosters for the ARC.

I love when a book title holds special meaning, and Melissa Foster’s Flirting With Trouble does just that. Enter Wells Silver— sexy restaurateur looking to expand, and completely enamored with Victory “Vic” Braden. Sparks fly, hearts slowly open, and yes… the chemistry is scorching once they stop fighting it!
Well’s quiet strength gives Vic the courage to finally believe that she deserves love for herself in one of the book’s most powerful scenes. I just love how Wells slowly but surely shows Vic that he is truly not the guy she thinks he is and that their age-gap is not that big of an issue. Wells is definitely not the man neither I or Vic thought he was. I’m really intrigued at how thoughtful, caring, and head-over-heels Wells is for Vic. He’s a very special man.
With unforgettable characters, sizzling romance, and a whole lot of heart, Flirting With Trouble is another hit in The Silvers at Silver Island series—and a perfect blend of family, love, and proving your worth.

I loved this book. Wells was the perfect guy. He was fun, flirty, confident, and sweet. Victory aka Victoria felt real and relatable. It was nice to read a romance where the woman needs to do some soul searching. The best part of this story is the fact that Victory took action and made changes to follow her heart, for herself- not for a man. Melissa Foster always has the best family and sibling dynamics in her books. The pranks were amazing! I was smiling the whole time I was reading this book. I cannot reccommend it enough.

Wells is a playboy that doesn’t have relationships, but Victory catches his interest, and he just can’t let go. Victory lost her husband 5 years ago and isn’t looking to let anyone in, especially the playboy. As they spend more time together Victory realizes that maybe she can let herself love again but first she needs to fully get over losing her husband. This was such an amazing book, I really enjoyed it

I was excited when I first read that Melissa Foster will have a new series and the first book revolves around Wells Silver and Victoria “Victory” Braden. I have read a lot of Melissa Foster’s books and could only imagine how these worlds combined once again.
Victory has a wall around her heart ever since her husband, the love of her life, passed away five years ago. Wells have been flirting with Victory ever since they first met at a wedding. The banter between these two… chef’s kiss. Victory turns down Wells at every chance but he is just a persistent guy trying to prove he is a reformed player. Wells definitely falls first and hard for the strong willed Victory. Wells’ charming personality shines through the pages. Plus, he is just so patient with Victory. The progression of them going from friends to more was just so fun to read. All the various characters from Love in Bloom world appearing brought smiles to my face. The books are interconnected standalones so you can read them without the others, but why would you? You will fall in love with this extended family. Though Wells may have top billing at the moment. I absolutely loved the first book in The Silvers at Silver Island and cant wait to read the other Silver siblings fall in love.
Thank you to Grey’s Promotions for the advance reader copy. I reviewed an advance copy of this book freely and voluntarily. I received no compensation of any kind from any source for this review.

Flirting with Trouble is a steamy standalone romance about finding love after loss.
For Victory and Wells, it was only supposed to be one passionate night, but the connection they shared was deeper than expected. Wells is your stereotypical playboy, and Victory feels guilty for trying to move on. But a man like Wells is used to getting what he wants and has sparked something in Victory that she thought was lost.
Overall, I thought Flirting with Trouble was a great read, featuring enjoyable and swoon-worthy characters. If you're a fan of Reverse age gap and he falls first romances, you won't want to miss this steamy second-chance romance.

I’ve been so curious about Wells from previous books so I was glad we were finally getting his story. He was a great MMC and the way he was fully into Victory even though this was new ground for him was so sweet.
The life after loss trope always breaks my heart because I cannot even imagine how terrifying that would be. It’s easy to see how Victory ended up staying stagnant in her grief because I imagine that made it a little less difficult to endure.
The relationship between Victory and Wells was both sweet and cheeky. They had such great banter together but had vulnerable and soft moments too.
I loved seeing all the Brandens, Remingtons, and Silvers, and The Bra Brigade again. The cast of characters in these books are great and so funny. Their constant teasing and all the pranks make the story so fun to read.
I loved that there is never any third act breakup. These books are always so low angst and make incredible comfort reads that I’d recommend to everyone.

This was such a sweet story, with lots of family shenanigans.😍 If you enjoy stories similar to Virgin River, this is definitely going to be your jam! I appreciated the romance and the chivalry, along with the very detailed and intricate family trees. I imagine keeping track of this world and all of the characters is really challenging to keep up with.🫠
