"Scarlet was still the color of my soul. But now that we were finally together, she also painted my days and nights in the exquisite spectrum and uncontainable brilliance of her spirit."

Sorry if my review is a mess. I'm still a blabbering mess and my emotions are all over the place.
There are so many cute moments that will make your heart burst. So many scenes that will tug at your heart. So many swoon worthy moments and I will go through again and again because this book is perfect ending of series.
I don't want to give anything away, but seeing good things happen to Scarlet and Billy makes my heart swell. Cletus was once again my favorite scene stealer. ;)
I hate to say goodbye to something I greatly love but I thank the Penny Reid for this series and the series to come.

I cried when I finished this; didn’t realize how sad I’d be to leave the Winston Brothers (and Ashley!) and their true loves behind.
By far one of my top series of all time. I’ll be revisiting each of these for sure.

This was the book I was waiting for a while only to be hugely disappointed by the characters flaws, the mystery behind the love story and the resolution of it.
I mean…the proposal was weird. In a bad way.

I know there aren't anymore Winston Brothers but I am not ready for this series to be over! I may end up reading the prequel just to get a taste of Winston Brothers. How is it that each of the brothers she writes about I fall for & wish he were real even though they're so different? All I want for Christmas is my own, real life Winston Brother!

Well that's it, it's all over. I will have a long time book hangover from this series....

4 stars. Half a star lost because something about the whole thing made me feel sad - I suspect that's just my overriding feelings about this series ending. Half a star lost because it sometimes felt like Billy and Claire's story was being tied up too quickly and too easily - I get that the time was right, but it would have been better I think, with more introspection on what they had both learnt that made the timing right.

But 4 stars for the entire family being as brilliant as ever.

Also after that epilogue, in 15 years or so I fully expect a second generation series of the Roman Emperor Winston's, thank you very much.
