This was a really cute, heartwarming novel about the importance of slowing down in the face of a hectic and exhausting work culture to reevaluate our priorities. The novel's slower pace mirrors this message, setting a lo-fi feel with nice vibes and allowing for a more character-driven plot to flourish. My only critique is that it sometimes felt slightly too optimistic or repetitive in its message. That said, it was a a super wholesome read that pays fitting tribute to the power of books in our lives.

I liked certain parts of this book, but overall it felt a bit robotic—possibly due to the translation. The writing style reminded me of a self-help book disguised as a story, which didn’t quite work for me. At times it was depressing, especially in how it portrayed social expectations and the reactions of others when those weren’t met. While it raises interesting points, I don’t think I really enjoyed it.

Beautiful slice of life book, perfect for when you're in the mood to just relax and enjoy a warm supportive friendship among people that aren't just teenagers or in their twenties, it feels like chicken soup for the soul, can't wait to read more wonderful books this author will write in the future if they decide to do so
