Okay, I have to say I really really enjoyed this book. First off it is a slow burn with minor spice and ends but being a Taboo romance. Not usually my thing, but the characters in this book were so beautifully written.

I have to say, the beauty of this book is that no character is just one thing. This book does a great job of showing the human condition. For example. Trent is a devoted and loving father, but also has moments of extreme selfishness and is oblivious to his kid’s needs. Claire is fun and outgoing and lovable but is also deeply broken making her a bad friend. Macon is a self destructive addict who is also carrying years of hurt and when you dig deeper he is a talented artist who is constantly putting other’s before himself. And this is just a few, every character is written with depth and empathy.

I can’t wait to read the s’en one instalment. This is why I love reading and love reading this genre. Every so often you pick up a surprising gem like this one

I really enjoyed it, it was very easy to read and kept my attention! I like Macon, I was waiting for shit to hit the fan the whole time tbh.

I could strangle whichever TikTokker recommended this book. I was totally sucked in at first, and then the drama kept going and going and going…and then I’m at the end, looking at the “Want more of Lennon and Macon? Buy book 2!” message, and I want to strangle someone. 🤬 There’s no way in hell I’m reading any more of this soap opera. FML.
