The whole book feels like everyone keeps jumping out of the frying pan and into the fire, except there’s multiple multiple levels of pans and fires.

Sad story of greed, lust and misunderstanding coming to a head. Good suspense.
A very interesting look at how wrong things sometimes go and how far some people dig down before they realize they should have stopped where they were and looked up. The twists and turns caused by decisions on various sides of the situations were as unpredictable as the characters themselves. I appreciated the character development that allowed them individuality and the complications that causes in human interactions!
