Gluttony

K. Webster

4.3 AVERAGE

This is another good addition to this series. I devoured this book and highly recommend this story.

Gluttony is brilliant, which if you’re a fan of K. Webster should come as no surprise.

What’s surprised me most is how Webster was able to take a character that, up until now, I hated and made me love him is incredible.

This book is wild, in the best way. Gluttony/God is a piece of work, and while he’s all bad ass richer than rich he’s also vulnerable and real.

Webster does a great job of bringing God & Z to life, and even bolsters the main guys from previous books.

I’m so beyond excited to read Sloth! This entire series is genius.

Gah!!!

This series just keeps getting better and better!!!

K. Webster as always knows how to write the words that sing to my black heart and pull me in until I am consumed and shaking with need for more!!

God was so much more than I thought he was and I couldn't get enough of him!!

Can't wait to see what Giana has for us next!!!
dark tense fast-paced

The only reason I picked up this book is because it is written by Miss Webster. Like many medocre NA romance, the book is lacking in structure.

The plot seems to be jumble around. I honestly get really confuse. The chemistry is lukewarm with biggest confusion why Baxter love Z. It feels just suddenly without any reaaon, Baxter fall in love.

The book ia not very bad nor very good. It is still readable. Still have that addicting feeling.

FINALLY! A book worthy of (almost) 5-Stars. I have been barely hanging on with this series. What started out promising had gone all pear-shaped. With this book K Webster has given me hope it will wrap up on a high note.

This was certainly the best book of the series so far. It was on the longer side. We had minimal repetition. It moved the story forward. Although I felt the Elite (task) part took a backseat to the romance. That wasn't a bad thing as the rest of the books fell short in that regard, so it was a welcome change of pace to actually get a romance that had meat to it. The overall plot and characters also fit the sin of GLUTTONY perfectly. The plot itself also had depth. God's character was well developed. Zemira was probably the most developed (and likable) heroine of the series. It had some heat. No OW drama, but unfortunately (for me) there was still an OW sex scene. I thought it was pretty pointless, but then again, I've thought ALL the OW sex scenes in this series have been pointless and gratuitous. That said, at least in this one it happened right at the start and weeks before he meets the heroine.  Last, it wrapped up in a rather sweet ending that "I" loved, but was maybe a bit weird considering the overall tone of the series.

TRIGGERS: I'm just adding this because this is one of the few things that can trigger me for personal reasons. So I appreciate a heads-up when a book has this topic.

Thoughts: Interesting read, enjoyed it!

I loved this book! First off, the cover model is one beautiful man, and made reading this book such a treat. God was so much fun to read about. I knew his story would be over-the-top with the sin Gluttony as well as everything else we've read about him so far. The curveball that was thrown in, with how God and Zemira meet, was written perfectly. I was wondering how they'd get this character of God to actually care for someone else. Instalove wouldn't have made sense, and many other scenarios just wouldn't cut it either. The romance between these two simmers slowly at first, but once it gets going it's equal parts sexy and sweet. K Webster writes some amazingly hot sex scenes, yet she also builds the backstory up so well that the "sweet" factor took me by surprise. This is a true to form enemies-to-lovers romance... With a big dose of a redemption story then in... And I couldn't put it down! It was so damn sexy to read, so full of suspense and drama, and carries on the story of the Elite Seven perfectly. I'm left wanting more from this imaginary book world, and u cannot wait for the next book!

This book was fantastic! I loved God and Zemira’s story. There was something so intriguing about seeing God’s story unfold. Because as we know from the other books, he seems like this spoiled rich kid who can have anything he wants and takes what he wants. But, we learn he is so much more. We get to see God’s vulnerable side, the real God underneath all of pretense, glitz and glam.
And Zemira, this beautiful soul of a woman. A woman who though struggles to make ends meet on her own and has no family, sees the positive in everything. Is content with the little she has and is thankful for it.
When God and Zemira are together sparks crackle and burn. They each bring out another side of the other and together they are pure magic!

Loved this story!!
