Made for Romeo is one of those books that I think some readers will hate simply because of the trope and nothing else will matter for them about this book. However, cheating books are my jam - huge guilty pleasure for me so this one was a perfect fit for me. Romeo made a huge mistake and only realizes after just how much Gabriella meant to him and how big that mistake is. This book starts almost a year later, when Romeo shows up where Gabriella is now living in the hopes of winning her back. For those that love a good grovel, you definitely feel his remorse and his change and this certainly worked for me. However, at one point Gabriella has remorse for choices she made after his mistake, and that didn't sit well with me. Overall though, this was a sweet love story and I rated it 3.5 stars.

This is the fourth book in the Made For series, but it can be read as a standalone. While it is part of the hockey series, neither of the main characters play hockey.

I really wanted to enjoy this book, I did. So I know the synopsis alluded to something happening between Gabriella and Romeo, but I guess I didn't expect it to be as detailed as it was. Gabriella, a photographer, and Romeo a movie star, were together for seven months, until that night. It happened eight months ago, and now Romeo is back and wants Gabriella back.

Gabriella was upset and hurt and didn't want anything to do with Romeo, but after some heartfelt words, she decides to give him another chance. The thing is, Romeo didn't really grovel. He just apologized and said pretty words. Also, Gabriella kind of defends his actions, which just didn't make sense to me.

I did like that Romeo could admit to what he did. He didn't try to hide it nor would he have if Gabriella hadn't seen it herself. He did change, I suppose. And I was happy that his words weren't just words, but something he actually followed through on. I also liked that Gabriella handled every situation with grace. She didn't act childish or try to ruin him. She just accepted it and tried to move on in her life.

Below is a spoiler, so read at your own discretion.

SPOILER WARNING:

Romeo cheated on Gabriella. She walked in on him with another woman. They didn't have sex, but what they were doing was pretty descriptive. But apparently, he didn't cheat because they weren't officially together.

The long awaited book for Gabriella, Gabby, Stone is finally here!

I have loved Gabby and wanted her to get her happily ending, especially after we saw her more in Abigail and Tristan's book. Gabby is an independent, sassy, holds no barred kind of woman and she is absolutely one of my favorite Natasha Madison main characters to date.

Gabby returned to Dallas 8 months prior after a horrible break up with her then situationship. Now we are in the present and said situationship, Romeo, which was more like an undefined relationship since they were basically living together with how much time they spent together, is in Dallas and ready to win Gabby back. But the events leading up to their breakup was unforgivable to anyone in that situation, so how will they move forward?

Romeo knows that he messed up and he is willing to do anything to win Gabby back. But this will be no easy feat. But Romeo works hard to prove to her that he has changed and that this time will be different. I loved his persistence and his groveling and the way that he was absolutely obsessed with her. But will it be enough in the end for these two?

And I am going to be honest - I really struggled for awhile for forgive Romeo. I absolutely loved Gabby and Romeo together, but when the reason for their breakup comes to light, it is HARD to forgive him. But I promise that you want to stick with the story because it was worth it for me. I was rooting HARD for this couple.

Also, Ryleigh, Romeo's sister is seriously THE FLIPPING BEST. Her reactions and one liners had me CRACKING up. She really stole the show in a couple of chapters with some of the things she said and I seriously cannot wait until we get her book.

Going into Romeo and Gabriella’s story I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I knew it would be a crazy ride of emotions since Gabriella came back from LA a little different. Gabriella is so amazing and laid back that when she first met Romeo, she didn’t care who he was or what he did for a living, she just knew they had an instant connection. As we continued reading, we knew something bad happened for her to pack up and leave LA in the dust because what we see of them in the past, they were amazing together and fit in every way, but I wasn’t ready for that big ball to drop. Now I will not justify him or his actions in any way, because if it was me, I’d always have doubts about him, but the work that he put in on himself was remarkable. Yea I’m not a fan of that trope and I usually stay far away from them so I was hoping against hope I could be turned around and when I saw how he went through it all to better himself and change I was somewhat more tolerable towards him. Gabriella held so strong and knew her worth, so he had a lot of work ahead of him to even be considered in the same realm as her. I did like this new Romeo who went all out to woo her and try to get her back, but it still stung that his actions destroyed any love I would have towards him, but the storyline and family scenes were what really held me together. Do I love Romeo? Not really, do I like the new him? More than I should, but Gabriella found a way to forgive and love him again so I won’t completely hate him.

Romeo, Romeo! I’ve been dying for this book, and I am so excited it’s finally here!! I love a good crossover, and this was a crossover of our favorite hockey family with our Hollywood Royalty!

Ever since that little (evil and sneaky) preview of Gabriella and Romeo’s story at the end of Abigail and Tristan’s book (Made for Us), if you read the whole series, I’ve been so excited this story. I love second chance romances and redemption stories, so I was very excited for Romeo’s redemption and their second chance at love.

Gabriella moved to LA for school and was loving her life, but up and moved to Dallas with no explanation to her family as to why. It was clear she was nursing a broken heart but was keeping secrets.
Eight months later, in walks Romeo…

Romeo had a lot of growing up to do. He did some really stupid things, let people who weren’t even his real friends influence his life, and didn’t put the important people first. He definitely needed that time to grow up and realize his mistakes, and to think about where he actually wanted his life to go.

Gabriella comes from this huge family of these fairy tale romances, so she knows exactly how she should be treated, and I’m a little disappointed in how she let the relationship be when they were first together (please note, he was not abusive or mean or anything in anyway), with how he his her and made her keep it a secret from everyone, including her family.

Once Romeo got his act together, there was no hiding the relationship for him, and Gabriella needed to work on forgiving Romeo and learning to trust again.

As always, I love seeing our favorite hockey dynasty family! Every appearance they make, makes my heart so happy! I also loved seeing Romeo’s parents (Hollywood Playboy) and meeting his sister (omg I cannot wait for her book, the next in the made for series)!

Made for Romeo was definitely the second chance, redemption story I was waiting for in my favorite hockey romance series, crossed over with the Hollywood series, and I was here for it! Cannot wait to see what’s next in the series and with our beloved Stone/Grant/Horton hockey family!

Romeo, Romeo, Romeo. I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about him. He clearly screwed up REAL big for Gabriella to be THAT mad at him. And he sort of came off a little “douchey”. But Romeo is so much more than he lets the world think he is. It is clear that he only is himself around those he trusts, and given his life being raised in Hollywood there are not a lot of people he has been able to trust. But Gabriella was someone he trusted from the start. And it felt like she was someone that he wanted to protect from his public persona, she was able to see the real Romeo.
Gabriella always seemed to be the free spirit in the family. She does what makes her happy and will try new things. I think she does this because she knows that her family is her soft spot to land. You could say a lot for the Stone/Grant/Horton family but they love so hard and are ALWAYS there for their family. They show up! So when things go sideways for Gabriella that is what she does. She goes home, which is where her twin is. I love how Natasha set this up because the emotions were so high when Gabriella opened the door and Romeo was standing there. This scene you could almost feel all the emotions that Gabriella was feeling.
How can a man that breaks a woman's heart redeem himself so well? Be genuine and own your mistakes. And wow does this man do all of those things and more. SO MUCH. This man does not just say he is changed, he shows Gabriella how hard he is working to be the man that she deserves. Bottom line, Romeo shows up and together Gabriella and Romeo build a relationship that is perfect for them. Once again Natasha does not disappoint in this series. This series has so much emotion, but still has the playful humor and antics from the Stone/Grant/Horton that know and love, but it is also couple focused. Gabriella and Romeo stole my heart, and I know that they will steal yours! I am so excited for what is in store for this series, as well as the crossovers coming!!! If you love a family series, some big feelings, some seriously steamy scenes, and a groveling hero this book should be on your kindle ASAP!!!

Jesusfuck, when am I going to learn my lesson? Madison writes the most stilted prose I’ve ever read. No, I do not need to know absolutely every-fucking-thing a character does to get ready for the day. I also don’t need to know exactly what they’re wearing every time they come on the page, or the brands they’re sporting. This isn’t fanfic.

Never again.

I checked my last review of a Natasha Madison book, and I noted that I didn’t love it and was hoping her work - which I used to rely on religiously - wasn’t changing. But this book didn’t hit for me as well, so I’m definitely disappointed.

📔 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗼: Made for Romeo, the fourth book in the Made For character series by Natasha Madison.

📚𝗧𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲: Second chance, Hollywood romance, lovers-to-enemies-to-lovers, groveling MMC.

📖 𝗦𝘆𝗻𝗼𝗽𝘀𝗶𝘀: Eight months ago, Romeo made a huge mistake and Gabriella left him in LA. Now he’s on her doorstep in Dallas, begging for another chance.

🌟 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄: This book was a miss for me.

The entire premise centered around Romeo cheating - graphically - and it took very little time for Gabriella to forgive him and even shoulder some of the blame. But the rest of the book was just… a whole bunch of nothing. No major plot. They got back together then just… chilled out for the last 30 percent.

On top of that, there wasn’t great spice… and Romeo wasn’t a guy I fell in love with. There was a chance to develop him deeper and Gabriella, and it wasn’t done. Add that to some major cringey dialogue…

Madison is also suffering from something that plagues a lot of writers of character series which is one of my biggest pet peeves - too many characters. This family tree has gotten insane and out of control. It’s hard to keep track of, and each book contains long scenes where nearly every character from her other series are introduced. It’s way too much now, confusing and they are scenes I absolutely skim at this point.

Overall I’d miss this one. I’m wondering if I have just matured as a reader, or if this is a more recent issue, but I’m going to give this whole thing one last chance before I give up.

Made for Romeo is an all new second chance romance by Natasha Madison. I'm a sucker for second chance and Natasha Madison but sadly for me this one wasn't as good as her other books. I was a bit disappointed in the main hero and his antics. Especially after finding out why exactly those two have a second chance romance.

I felt like the author was sweeping it under the rug and all was well with him suddenly realizing he's in love with her and cannot live without her.

This story really had potential but the execution and the reason why they broke up really took the enjoyment of the story out of me.

I really love Natasha's books and I know the next one will be a lot better!
