I really liked the story it wasn’t what I was expecting it to be. It was creepy cause how does one person get that much influence and take over a household over a matter of time. I didn’t like that it only scratched the surface of these characters and we didn’t really get to see any of Lucy’s past POV just current which didn’t feel super relevant to past plot lines. I get why but I wish we had more past POV from her not just Henry. Also they were all rushing back for the baby but why did they wait so long? It was good but it didn’t wow me like other books I’ve read by Lisa Jewel.

I had no expectations for this book at all but I thoroughly enjoyed it! It was rich, dark and intricately twisted. I was engrossed throughout and mostly satisfied with the conclusion. I did feel that it should’ve come with a trigger warning about abuse though?

This was a very good book! It took a bit of time to get used to the writing style and pov switches, but I think since I read it in a short space of time I could follow along easily.

I just love Lisa Jewell lol, all her books are on a lot of my niche interests so I find them very fun and interesting
