London Bridge

This is the first book in the Speak No Evil trilogy but is the latest book in the London Lord sets of books. Confused yet? It gets better. While there is a prequel to this trilogy, it's not necessary. However, there is an overreaching story arc which means that I wouldn't recommend reading this trilogy if you're not at least familiar with the other London Lords books and characters, and this book does not deliver a HEA but ends on a cliffhanger. As for the story itself, there was plenty of drama and heat between Bridge and Emma, as well as inclusion from the other London Lords characters. It came down to the fact, though, that I just don't particularly like either of the main characters - they're both manipulative, controlling and unwilling to listen to anyone else. They're both self-centred, arrogant and for the most part unlikeable. If I wasn't already invested in the story arc I wouldn't bother to read the other books, but I probably will.

I am so stoked we finally get to Emma and Bridges story as right from the get go we knew there was a lot more going on with these two and now we start to see all all start to unfold. Both want those who caused Toby's death to pay, not that the other London Lords don't but these two so much more than the others due to a promise Bridge made and the fact Toby was her brother. As always we get great angst, fiery clashes made more intense by attraction as well as danger, secrets and the need for those to pay. There is obviously a cliffy however there isn't too long to wait so the countdown is on!!!

There should be a warning that there are books before this one that are interconnected and that it helps to read those first to get the best experience. I was very confused about all the characters and who they were. That took me way out of the story and I just found myself skipping a lot because I wasn't invested.

London Bridge is the start of a romantic suspense by ever so talented Nana Malone. It is not required but if you prefer to read the prequel Bridge of Love, it will give you a great insight to the main characters’ relationship dynamic.

Emma is heartbroken with her big brother Toby’s murder and decides to return to London to avenge him with the help of his best friends who are also called the London Lords. Bridge has always been secretly in love with his best friend’s sister since they were kids and taken upon himself to always watch out for Emma. So when she decides on a path to vengeance, he decides to be on a path of protecting her.

A fake marriage to flush out secrets and the responsible party is all it takes to add on to their already boiling blood and amp up the sensual tension between them. It was a blast to read about the feisty Emma who happens to be full of heart and sass to piss off and push the limits of Bridge who is namely the broodiest and the bossiest of their team. I can’t wait to read the next installment Bridge of Lies to ease off the tension from the brutal cliffhanger.

OMG! I loved this one! I've been waiting for Bridge and Emma's story, the characters having been introduced in previous books (totally fine to start here! This story is a stand alone just WAY better together with the other London Lords).
Emma! Oh I've loved her from the start! Sassy little thing, bound and determined to get her vengeance, with or without the London Lords. She's spunky! I just dig her whole vibe, stubborn as can be, but in all the best ways. She's been in love with her brother's friend for as long as she can remember.
Bridge! He matches Emma's stubbornness, and you can really feel the hurt in his heart from all the betrayal and lies in his life. This author makes you feel it so deeply you can easily imagine how Emma would want to be the woman to change his opinion about love.
These two are just one big explosion from the get go! So much fire and heat! It's a wonder my Kindle didn't combust! Super excited for the next one!

Nana Malone has done it. I have Ben's books on my Kindle and haven't read them yet, but had I done my due diligence I would have been completely prepared for this book. I thought I was really doing something by reading the novella, A Bridge of Love before I read my advance copy of the book, well slap my face and call me silly! After all of that, HOLY FREAKING COW! Bridge and Emma are something else. Bridge is all "grrr" and Emma is all, "your are not going to tell me what to do!" Then there's the whole I hate you, but I secretly want to be wrapped up with you forever. These two have loved each other since they were children and just about everyone around has noticed or caught a glimpse of that attraction between them. Circumstances put them in a situation that neither of them foresaw or expected to ever be in, but they have to roll with it in order to make a wrong right. This book is filled with revenge, revelations, suspense, intrigue, L-O-V-E! Then there is the age old nasty action word BETRAYAL, but by whom? There are many moving parts and the book is deliciously good, but if you know Nana be prepared and guard your heart. This sister here was reading and in a state of "Ahh hell no," but I absolutely loved it and will be waiting for the next book, and finally starting where I should have started to begin with! Kudos to the supporting cast of the book as well. I can't wait to go back and see where they all started.

I received an advanced copy of this book in return for an honest review.

Oh my word I need the next book now!!! That cliffhanger! I kept swiping on my kindle thinking it wasn’t working right when I realized I was at the end!!! This book hooked me immediately. I loved every moment of it!! It was pretty much a one sit read for me! If you like a steamy action packed book look no further! I loved Bridge and Emma! This one is going to definitely have me counting the days until the next release!!! This is the beginning of a new trilogy in the London Lords world. While you don’t necessarily need to read the previous trilogy’s in this world I think you may have a little better understanding on the back story in general. I absolutely recommend this book!!

Received a arc for a honest review.

I was waiting for Emma and Bridge’s story and I completely loved it!! We read about them in the previous books and I was really captivated by them so I was dying to read their story. Emma and Bridge were the best, I loved their banter and how they tried to deny their feelings and all the chemistry they had.

Emma was wonderful, I loved how she always stood up for herself and how she fought Bridge in every way. She had an amazing relationship with the London Lords and as always I loved reading how everyone had each other’s backs.

Bridge was amazing too, he seemed grumpy sometimes but he was only trying to protect Emma, and despite trying to deny it, he was pretty obvious when it came to anything related to her. He fought hard to carry out his promise to Toby but it was a matter of time before he and Emma collided, and I loved it when they did. I loved their steamy scenes and how they couldn’t keep their hands off each other.

It was everything I hoped for and I can’t want to read more of them, especially after that cliffhanger.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
