I loved this so much and i cannot for the life of me comprehend how this is Ava Reid’s debut, she is SO talented my god, i wanna read every single thing shes ever written. This book could be slow at many points, its a slow fantasy, it takes time to get to the point, half of the book is mostly a journey which is a trope i struggle with and the other half is more political intrigue with the main character trying to survive, but the book honestly did a good job with both. What TRULY sold me with this book was the romance MY GOD, the amount of heart-wrenching, swoony quotes i’ve annotated is insane, which made me buy the book
