I had pretty low expectations for this book, yet still, it managed to disappoint.

It's literally just a book of sentences about each character - which is pretty much what I had expected, however, 98% of the characters were people I couldn't even remember. I mean come on this is a 13 book series, half of these people are no names who appeared once or twice - characters who no one would care about. They could have at least included an intro into who each person was, what book they appeared in and their key scenes.

I also didn't like how many of the characters ended up - it particularly annoyed me that Eric got a happily ever after, with Freya, I wish he was miserable for 200 years.

At least Sookie's ending was significantly better than it was on the TV show - and at least Bill is still alive.

Doing my "review" as I read this, because the WTFery is just, WTF?! It's going to be full of spoilers, so read past the spoiler line at your own risk.

First off, nearly 10 bucks for 200 pages. Ok. But then when you start reading, it's kinda like those little blurbs that they put during the end credits of a movie. "so and so was voted most likely to succeed. He knocked up the head cheerleader, and worked at the local dump". etc. Some of these "pages" only have two-three sentences! So way overpriced! (so glad I borrowed this!)

Most of these people I don't even remember. Pythoness? Isabel Beaumont? Christian Baruch? I wanted to know about our Bon Temps regulars, not people who got five minutes of page time in one book!

But now, the ones I DO remember (read these at your own risk, you've been warned):

SpoilerAndy and Halleigh Bellfleur- daughter was born two months after the last book, had a heart condition, lives until her senior year of high school, then dies from complications of the condition. Is buried in her cheerleading uniform. They had two other children.

Terry Bellfleur and his wife are killed in a car accident eight years after the last book.

Jane Bodehouse died after falling off the toilet. Ok, that's not so surprising.

Det Mike Coughlin was shot and killed during a Wendy's robbery.

WTF is Mark Duffy? He died too, whoever he was.

JB cheated on Tara and she kicked him out. He kept sleeping around, was married a few more times, and died fucking someone in the old folks home. I guess for JB, he had a happy life.

Arlene's kid Coby died of an overdose.

Bill eventually became king of Lousianna, but never moved to New Orleans. He invented a bunch of vampire video games and became quite rich.

Calvin Norris was happily married, until his wife got too near an angry young panther, and she was killed.

Fellow telepath Barry stayed with Sam's mom for a bit, then left, driving all the way to Seattle. Feels like a spin off might be coming.

Bubba is in Canada after going on a rampage or something.

Quinn- well it didn't say anything about Quinn except that he had many more adventures. Maybe another spin off?

Eric pretty much lived happily as Freyda's consort or whatever he was. He did get one of the longest "Ever afters" in the book.

Pam still runs Fangtasia, and married Heidi. I don't remember who Heidi is. Pam remained friends with Sookie.

Jason's ever after is long too. He was happy in his marriage, and shockingly, remained faithful. They had two kids, one was a telepath. Then he freaking died of a sudden heart attack at 55. WTF?

Sookie and Sam got married a bit over a year later. They got married during the day, and Pam threw them a party at Fangtasia, asking Sookie to wear her wedding dress, and she (pam) sent a picture to Eric. Sookie and Sam had 4 kids. Only one was telepathic. They all lived a happy hunky dory life.

And that is pretty much it. There were lots more people talked about, but I only posted about the ones I really remembered fairly well, and that upset me. Too much sadness and misery, really. I find this book to be a rip off, TOTALLY not worth the price being charged. Every bit of this could have been contained in the paperback of the last book. It would be more incentive for people to buy the paperback, and people wouldn't be gouged by this blatant RIP OFF. As my friends know, I was one of the few people who didn't go into a rage at the last book, I understood how Sookie ended up who she ended up with. But THIS- THIS will probably cause me to never buy one of this author's books again.

If you like wrapped up endings don't read this.  It's very I'm adding things that I thought of after and a lot of it not good.

This truly covered every single person ever mentioned in all the books, many of whom I couldn't even remember who they were! She still somehow managed to make Sookie vapid and annoying in the 2 page entry about the rest of her life ("Sookie wore white to her wedding because it looked great with her tan" Seriously?!)

Nice little finish and quick to read. I didn't remember most of the characters listed specifically, but a nice way to tidy it all up. I do wonder if there will be more adventures with some of the characters, as hinted.

Biggest waste of money! Honestly, would it have been so much to ask to actually put some effort into it. I feel like I've been robbed... Very disappointed I paid $20 for this dang book.
