As a person who reads a lot of scary books about mount everest, this was really refreshing. I read it in translation and could logic out some of the puns but I bet the original is actually a bit more funny. Nevertheless, I enjoyed this as a silly light-hearted read.

Hilarious book - I was frequently giggling out loud while reading this. It's almost slapstick comedy in writing which I would have thought I'd hate but I actually loved.
If you've read any other book on climbing expeditions you will probably enjoy it even more as it is an excellent parody of the genre. A great present idea.

Humorous. I laughed out loud a couple of times, however it is not an incredible read.
One of the most hilarious books I've ever read. Years later I can still vividly imagine Pong, the cook, and the meals he prepared.

Since this is a humorous book you have to be in just the right mood to find it funny. Otherwise you will find it silly and lame. So I'm not recommending it. But... it amused me and I liked it.
