I cried like a baby.
I’d very much like to rescind my membership here on Earth and have a redo as a shield maiden of Rohan. At this point, I choose Middle Earth even over heaven.
I’m aware loving something this much might be a problem. I don’t actually care.

Fantastic Ending. Loved finding out what happened at the Shire after everything. Finally got through the Appendix, very interesting.

I liked Two Towers better, but this was still fantastic. The battles at the beginning of the book were the least enjoyable part to get through, mostly because I missed Frodo and Sam.

The Lord of the Rings trilogy it a masterpiece.
I loved every book. I loved the characters, the story-line, the villains, everything.
The heartbreaking adventure that started with Bilbo Baggins comes to an end, with an epic battle between good and evil.
What a ride

Absolutely magnificent. An all time great work of literature. I read the entire Lord of the Rings (All three books as most know them - but really six books...or one book...whatever) consecutively. It took me the entire The Fellowship of the Ring portion to get into Tolkien's style and I almost want to reread this portion as I don't believe I appreciated it as much as I should.
The Two Towers portion was superb and the Return of the King is one of the most captivating works of literature I've encountered. A true master writing at the top of his game. I may never have been as satisfied with a novel or saw an author so brilliantly bring a story to a satisfying end.
The movies are some of the greatest ever put on screen, favorites of mine, and they scarcely do the book justice. Plus, the movies both stray from the books and do not include many sections. To read a truly great book is a gift, and this work is Tolkien's gift to the world.

Everything came together so satisfyingly in this conclusion. I get why this has stuck around as the most iconic fantasy series of all time. And it’s easy to forgot just how much these characters go through throughout the trilogy until the hobbits return to the shire and seem completely out of place there. Like damn all that really happened in 1 year?? The appendices at the end were insane as well. As if I wasn’t already impressed with the lore of the world, we started getting into the family tree of horses?? Thank god Tolkien didn’t have a life because these books are great. Will probably reread in like 20 years. Now for the extended films!!
