I LOVE THIS BOOK MUCH AND MILES IS MY SECOND FAVE HOCKEY BOY THAT S. MASSERY HAS EVER WRITTEN. (this is only because Jacob is my ride or die and no one can have him but me....ask Sara)
I had the privilege of beta reading Miles and let me tell you....I fell into that book and didn't come for air until the very last line! This book was absolute PERFECTION. I can't even put into words properly HOW fucking MUCH I loved this book.
If you've followed me for any amount of time, you know that Sara is one of my favorite authors (and hello....I made her by my friend too). She is one of the most well rounded authors that I've ever encountered and I love her dearly. This series is just...top freakin tier. I loved everything about Miles and Willow. When I found out Willow was his FMC, I about screamed because Knox did not deserve her. This book is a freakin rollercoaster of emotions so buckle up buttercup and get ready for a wild ride.
I'm not sure how Sara does it, but Miles does some crazy things....he has so many red flags that I lost count and the entire time I was thinking "I like this...I'm here for it."

Sadly, my least favorite of the series so far. I mean I loved it, but I was a little bored.
Don’t you just love it when he water boards you and proceeds to stick you in a freezer to die (because he’s mad you continued drinking and wants to teach you a lesson) when he told you to stop but you have no other option than to self destruct bc he repeatedly rapes, demeans and controls your every move
Okay I wasn’t too sure how I would feel about Willow and Miles but this series is just hitting the dark romance itch for me! Again this book is a dark college hockey romance. Finally I get some classroom interactions and more college settings. A tad darker than book 1 check TW but the DRAMA in this book served!! Willow was an okay FMC. Not my favorite couple in this series but was overall still really good 3.5/5
I absolutely love Miles! This book had me right from the beginning and I just couldn’t stop! I was so happy that the bet reveal was at the beginning because if it was through the first half I don’t think I could have pushed through it. I also just loved the way Miles looked after and took care of Willow especially when he noticed she had a serious problem and he worked hard to help her and prevent her from further spiraling.

I loved that S. Massery kept the anger toward Knox about turning Willow over to the wannabe killer consistent at the end where he apologizes and tries to make amends but Miles doesn’t forgive him but eventually they are at least civil and it holds over through Twisted Obsession.Spoiler
I’ve read the series out of order due to some of the tropes in the previous 2 books that weren’t really for me but now that I’ve read both Secret and Twisted Obsession I’m going back to read the others because I’m absolutely in love with these characters and their friendships.

I think the only thing that matters is Miles is a thief and he’s stolen my heart.
Suuuure, the guy is a little possessive.. and obsessive.. and maaaaaybe he killed a guy and beat up another.. Idk. He will neither confirm nor deny it.. But he did and does it BECAUSE he loves Willow (even if he doesn’t realize it yet).. Which felt far different than Greyson and Steele’s eventual love for their ladies.
Poor Willow. My heart broke for her the moment she admitted her feelings for Knox, because it was all downhill (right into Miles’ arms) from there. While absolutely manipulative, Miles did what he could to build her back up. I especially loved the flashback scenes of Willow and Miles.
I laughed, I gasped, I wanted to throw my phone across the room at times. But Sara has gone and done it again and made me fall in love with a mean hockey man
