I was excited to get Willow's story. Miles seemed very quite throughout the other books so I was unsure of what to expect from him.
This book is darker then the other 2 for sure. Miles actually murders someone in like chapter 2...granted the jerk had it coming but still he commits murder...
The books starts off strong and immediately hooks you. Willow tells Knox she loves him and he blows her world apart and lets everyone know he was only with her because of a bet. Then Knox basically tells Miles to have fun with his leftovers, OUCH.
Miles is my least favorite MMC so far. Now listen I know they are all walking red flags but he has been in love with Willow for what 2-3 years and never told her about the bet? Come onnnn. Also this book pushed the non-con a bit to far for me and it really feels more like several scenes of SA in the 1/3 of the book.
That being said I still really liked it. Miles has loved Willow for awhile and I get the impression that she had a crush on him as well and the only reason she didn't pursue him was because he said he was in love with someone. Not knowing it was her.
Her being with the other brother now is an interesting dynamic.
I liked that these two seemed a bit more unsure of where their future leads after college. Willow with being in the science field, dancing or music and Miles not sure if he will get drafted or not. That was just relatable.
Miles and Knox don't seem filthy rich just well off and Miles at least seems to have a good relationship with his mother, which I enjoyed. The rich playboy was getting a bit played out.
Willow's fear of falling for Miles after what happened with Knox is a very realistic fear. She is also unsure of how to love because her family expressed love in a non physical or verbal way. So I enjoyed when Miles finally was able to break down her walls.
The smut in this one didn't hit as hard for me, especially since 1/3 felt to close to SA.
All my issues aside it was fun to see Miles make his brother's ex girl fall for him.

So happy to not have as much bullying in this book. A more diverse plot overall (although still some of the same plot points as the first 2 books). Loved this unrequited obsessive romance vibe.
