overall a good read. felt at times like nothing at all was happening. really enjoyed the relationship between francie and her mother. the nuanced characters made the book worth reading. extremely well written. felt like not a lot happened which makes sense given the exploration of character and background, still was a tiny bit of a chore to get through. enjoyed it though.
