This wasn’t as fast paced as I would have liked it to be BUT I became so attached to the main character. It was like growing up alongside of her. I’ll miss her. Goodbye, Francie ❤️
I really enjoyed this book, which provided a glimpse into a family's life in the early 1900's, whose experiences i imagine were similar to my grandparents', I think. Poetic, poignant and engaging, this book showed the resilience of proud people, the importance of education in raising people up and the love of family.
