Lovely, cozy, bookish read about a bookshop. Reminder of how important finding the right place and people is.

The Bookshop on the Corner by Jenny Colgan was such a delightful and heartwarming read. My all-time favorite books are love stories, especially ones set in different countries that allow me to feel like I’m not sitting on my boring old couch. Jenny took me far away from my little house in Virginia to the beautiful countryside of Scotland. As a lover of books, I completely identified with Nina’s desire to just be with her books. I will say I wasn’t sure where the author was going with the love story but that’s what made the book even better – I truly didn’t know which guy to root for! If you enjoy novels such as Me Before You, then you will fall in love with The Bookshop on the Corner. I will be reading another of Jenny Colgan’s books soon – I truly enjoy her as an author.

It was a cute fast read. My biggest criticism is that plot convenience / luck helped the main character a bit too much.

Once again, so surprised by what this book was. Jenny Colgan does not write a typical romance- again, dealt with some much deeper issues. That train thing ?? What the heck was that 😭 I loved it. Made me want to visit Scotland and open a bookstore (not at the same time) fr. I did kind of half hate Nina though tbh. Initially wish I’d read this (and Shore) before 500 miles, but I actually think it was cute this way too.

Super cute book. Nina is relatable, the scenery is palpable, love interests are swoon worthy and it'll give you all the warm fuzzies without being cliche.
