Insane this book is. The only way to describe it is that revenge is best served cold. From the very first page, Daniel Hurst grips you with a chilling narrative that never lets go. It's crazy how you can live all your life with one person and never truly know them. This book made me realize how, despite years of shared moments and memories, one revelation can turn your closest companion into a complete stranger.
A story where every chapter peels back another layer of deceit. The characters and the plot twists are nothing short of mind-blowing. Just when you think you've figured it out, another twist that leaves you questioning everything.
It is a rollercoaster of emotions and suspense that will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very last page.

I need to be more willing to DNF books. I could tell this book was going to be bad on the very first page, and I wish I’d listened to my gut at that point.

I thought this book had some good twists and it was a quick and easy read but I really couldn’t get over the idea that two separate times this woman locked a door from the outside and the people couldn’t get out??? Like why would a cabin ever have a door that could only be locked/unlocked from the outside?? And then an old little shed that wasn’t intruder proof also only being able to be locked/unlocked from the outside and a grown adult couldn’t break out of it??

That makes no sense to me and it bothered me the entire book which took away from the plot twists and story line a bit

This was an enjoyable story. I listened to the audiobook and the narrators did a great job. I found the plot had some holes in it but otherwise the story kept me interested.
