A great book about music. Music covers a range of styles and moods. I wish this was a picture book instead of a board book!

So happy to discover this gem of a book, gifted to my baby by a fellow library student/storytime reader. Beautiful illustrations with diverse representations, this is truly a nonfiction book highlighting different musical instruments and the joys of music. The back also provides definitions of musical terms mentioned in the book so I learned something new too! Definitely a book that older children can appreciate too - my hope is that is comes in other formats besides board book in the future.

Bold, bright and fun for children. It caught and kept my baby's attention, and I look forward to the kinds of conversations about music it will spur in future readings.

I loved the emo girl lying on the floor in emo anguish for the "music is sad" page. Just glorious.

This is such a cool book for kids! It has some great representation both in culture and race, and it covers a whole gambit of music types!

Blurbed by Björk, my new favorite board book MUSIC IS... which features delightful bold bright illustrations that introduce children to all the many styles and delights of music. Buy this for your littlest audiophiles.
