Thank you to Uplit Reads and Amazon Publishing for a gifted copy of the latest from Camille Pagan, Don’t Make Me Turn This Life Around. This just released on May 11th, and I stayed up waaayy too late last night finishing it!

Once I started this one, I couldn’t stop. I’m a slow reader and I devoured this one in 2 days. Libby Ross has just found out she’s cancer free after 13 years when doctors gave her a grave prognosis. She should be ecstatic, running home to celebrate with her 12-year-old twin girls and her dreamy husband Shiloh, but something is off. Stuck in a rut, Libby is determined to force her family to be happy. It takes a little convincing, but she whisks them off to Vieques, a Puerto Rico island, where she and Shiloh first met. She’s going to snap them all out of this funk.

I loved this story, Camille wrote such relatable characters. It wasn’t an overly happy book, but it was hopeful, realistic, and bittersweet. I was smiling, I was laughing, I was in tears, it was a great read! I want to go back and read the first book now, Life and Other Near-Death Experiences. Also, I’m so hoping there might be another book continuing Libby and Shiloh’s journey!
