This book pulled me in from the beginning (though the two previous books also definitely helped).
The author has such a way of pulling you in and shifting your emotions the same way that Layalas/Valeens shifts. Also Hel??? Love him so much. Perfect villainous love interest!!! Thane annoyed me with his “nobelness”
there were times when the magic system was a bit confusing, but I’ll let it slide

Thank you to Dreamscape Select and NetGalley for an ARC of this audiobook.

I have been enjoying this series so far and was so excited to read this book after the cliff-hanger ending to book 2.

I struggled a little for the first couple of hundred pages, but once the story started to move along I was hooked. J.M. Kearl has clearly decided to destroy us all with this love triangle!! After making us all fall in love with Thane for two books I was shook by how much I loved Hel.

The audiobook narrators were fantastic, and I really felt like I slipped into the world of the story - I highly recommend listening.
