DNF..... But might come back to finish it. It started goo and was going good but I started reading other things and didn't feel the need to finish it so I just put it in a "might check later" pile

Rating: 3.5 stars which for me means better than average and I recommend it as an entertaining book⭐️
This is my first time reading Jasinda Wilder's Work. Initially I was thinking that the story was very unrealistic but then looked at it as very creative.
The story is told primarily through Kyrie's POV. She is a hard working young woman struggling to go to college and take care of her mom and brother. Things start to happen in her life that she doesn't question at that time but just chalks it up to doing what you have to. As the story unraveled I thought to myself would I have taken the same path? Would I have been that trusting? Well that is something each reader will probably answer by the end. It had some shocking twist that I was either surprised by or didn't pick up on the earlier clues.
This was a enjoyable read with definitely a lot of hot sex scenes.

This was a random grab looking at available ebooks at my library. I don't read much in this genre (in fact, this may be my second book in erotica); my primary irritations in general being the completely stupid amount of swearing and disgusting language as well as marathon long sex scenes. I mean, that's the genre, so fine, but it was like a good third or more of the book!
The book has a ton of incongruences - the biggest one being the male character supposedly doesn't like swearing but ends up just like every other erotica character in the potty mouth department - so don't expect literary genius here. It's ridiculous how "perfect" the male is as well, but hey, that's what fiction's for (as long as people don't set their expectations based on something like this!). And the plot was so easy to figure out, typical plot devices.
As with most romance-based novels, I read this so quickly I didn't get nearly enough sleep and turned zombie for a few days.

This disappointed me. It was good and super sexy all the way through, but the big secret didn't come as a surprise to me at all, and the ending felt super weird and abrupt. Still, it was a fun and entertaining read almost all the way through!

Intense
This book was a whirlwind of emotions. Kyrie is a strong young woman with more responsibility than resources. A generous surprise saves her from her dilemma but puts her in a new one. Being owned and blindfolded by her benefactor. Roth is able to pull her in but at what cost to them both? When the truth comes out, everything changes. I haven't read book 2 yet but I can't wait to see more of their story.
