While it’s probably the weakest volume so far, it’s still a good story. I still love the series.
Art: Arts beautiful like usual but I found some panels to be lacking in life. Still 9/10 art though.
Story: The story in this volume seems to just pad for time. It feels repetive, like Rangestu has the same old beats. However there is some very good development with their character. They feel more realistic now as they question themself and who they are. However the arcs with trusting Tenyou feel repetitive. There wasn’t much focus on advancing the story or the mystery, just mostly character arcs. Even one of the big conflicts doesn’t really have that much effect on the characters so far, that should have been a bigger focus than Rangetsu’s trust. However I do like how they’re developing their relationship with Tenyou, there’s some sweet moments with them actually. It is a little weird that they seem to be setting up a romance but I think the author is handling it well.
In conclusion while a good character arc there is a bit of repetition and not much story progression.

***Edit: I have read through vol. 6. While I enjoyed it up to that point, Vol. 6 took a turn that I am simply not comfortable with continuing. I will still leave all other ratings/review notes as they were originally. If you have questions as to content, please DM me.
