this is a comfort anime of mine, but i had never read any of the manga until now. i had to get used to the art in the book compared to the show, but this is definitely worth reading if you enjoyed the anime. the author draws little thought bubbles over the characters and side notes in the margins that you don’t get in the show, and they are all hilarious.

Ouran High School Host Club is one of those series that is practically foundational. It is everywhere and I think this has a lot to do with the fact that a large swath of young girls in North America (myself included) watched the Ouran High School Host Club anime and that acted as our introduction to Japan's take on the romcom. You never forget your first!
I have such nostalgia for the anime that it is fun reliving it through the manga. The art style takes some getting used to, but the characters are just as charming as I remember.
