So I've recently been on a kick revisiting manga that I meant to start back in my High School/College years and finish them up. The biggest thing I noticed is that most of the Shoujo manga has so many issues in terms of ridiculous love triangles, abusive and alpha men, even the nerdy men end up domineering! So many of those stories are just plain tough to read!

In walks in Ouran High School Host Club (I could give you a synopsis, but the book info page does a better job than me) and I did not realize how much of the things I loved about Shoujo manga are in this book. Cute boys (who each have their unique personalities) awesome main character who isn't crazy-badass or a delicate flower. She just exists as she is and it's wonderful! There are still 17 other graphic novels left in the series, so I'm super excited to end the year with this story!

While parts of it haven’t aged super well in the last 20 (!) years, OHSHC was really ahead of its time 💕 so far not loving the manga as much as I did the anime, but excited to keep reading!
