This is the easiest and most entertaining thing to read! I'm still very new to manga, but this is a great starting point. Every characrer is full of life and very likeable--even the bizarre and annoying ones. And I especially loved all the little notes from the author mixed in with the narrative.

I watched the anime back in the late 00s when I was a teen and really loved it back then. Haven't seen it since then but I do kind of remember most of it, I think. Since I finally got my hands on the box set I will be reading the whole series before rewatching the anime to see if my opinions on certain characters and ships have changed now that I'm older and have read the manga. So far on this first volume, it's mostly the same stuff that I remember from the anime, minus some minor changes. I'm really enjoying the comedy and getting reacquainted with the characters.
