(Audiobook). It was a wacky story (he’s a wacky guy I guess!) haha but it was fun listening to him

Very well written and so much fun to read. I haven’t laughed this hard from reading a book. I am so thankful how he shared personal experiences, how he handled them and shared great points. Chase dreams, always work hard and go for what you love.

Highly recommend, he is truly humble.

Focus on child abuse. I felt the author used a little of words but didn’t really say much. There was not a lot of structure in the work.

[3.5 stars] this was good except for the part where he was talking about why he hadn't married his wife til they had their third child. sometimes men shouldnt be allowed to voice every thought they have.

It was interesting to read about Matthew Mcconaughey's life. He's certainly led an interesting one. His narration via audio book added another level to it, as I felt I experienced it as he intended. However, I didn't care for the way the book felt a bit like he was preaching to me, especially because much of it wreaked of white privilege. Wouldn't we all lead such interesting lives if we had the money and time? Getting past that though, there were some funny tales and quippy little bits that will stick with me into the future. I enjoyed it and it was a fast read.

I wish I had journaled life like he did. Such a gift to be able to go back and recall the moments in life, big and small, that mold us and bring/drive us to where we are today.

Listened to the audiobook. Felt like I was drinking tequila at a bar with him while he told hilarious - sometimes off-the-walk and sometimes deeply relatable - stories. A masterful storyteller and a genuine person. I loved this!
