One of the best business books- clear, concise, and well-written. Not dry or stuffy. Collins and his team put a human face on the essential qualities of great business leadership- many of which are surprising.

I struggled reading it and never got into it, so instead read the chapter summaries and made some valuable notes. If I would be more into statistics and tech-corporate companies maybe it would be more appealing to me. For the time being, it didn’t catch my interest. Might re-read in the future

I'm noticing a pattern in the books my boss is giving me to read. There's an overarching theme of finding clarity. He didn't notice that when he assigned them to me.

The main ideas in the book seem solid and are backed by a trove of data. On the flip side of the coin, the academic approach to the material results in dry reading at times. Additionally, some of the example companies in the book make the content feel dated; for example, Circuit City and Fannie Mae.

A little repetitive at times but some solid ideas and easy to achieve concepts to turn your business/company/team into an awesome one. I enjoyed it and will take some ideas from this book into my professional life for sure.

Absolutely amazing book. Truly inspiring to hear about companies you may notice on a shelf that you may barely remember, that have truly grown amazing businesses. It really gives insight into how an amazing company runs.
