we delved into these monologues for my women’s lit class, and it was such a saddening yet informational and explorative read. the text is relatively face-paced—so much so that i was able to complete it in one sitting—and shines a light on many often overlooked struggles faced by women. i would highly highly recommend it!

I KNOW this is a classic and has done real good in the world etc, but as a reading experience it was eh. I think seeing it performed would probably be awesome though. Maybe not enjoying it that much means I'm not a liberated enough person tho ahah
