Still not feeling historical fiction. Also, I never read the Odyssey, so I think I'm missing some context.

This author's writing style is very beautiful. However, this story seemed to drag in a way that Song of Achilles didn't. Though, that is likely because she is a tool in so many other stories rather than having her own. This one also wasn't as heartbreaking as Song of Achilles as the ending was much happier.

this one was much more of a book that put me at ease towards the end, compared to Song of Achilles.

it was so interesting to get this perspective of the inner workings of Circe, who could’ve done so much more harm than she did.

although quite slow with characters coming in and out of the storyline (considering Circe is a tool for other people’s story, this makes sense obviously) it all was well-written and perfect for those who love the different perspectives of greek mythology.

Beautiful. Raw, Circe is strong and isnt afraid to face the world. The end is just chef kiss. Though her naivety and actions sometimes bothered me, repeating the same mistakes she made in the past…
