Really good read, reads like a conversation. At first it was hard to keep everybody mentioned straight, but you get the hang of it. Really great stories. I hope I get to live just as long. The Delany sisters were a force.

An easy read. Interesting points of view from two sisters who are each over 100 years old...makes historical events a little more personal when you can read a first hand account of them. Much of the book is devoted to race issues.

What a kick! These extremely old(over 100 years old)ladies say it like it is. The history they've seen. The hard times they've endured. The personalities they've developed. Great read!

My mom gave me this book to read when I didn't have anything to read a while back and I was intrigued but not sure how much I would enjoy it. But, it was really interesting to learn about the struggles of the sisters along the paths of their long lives and how they've overcome trials. Not only was it entertaining but also educational.

I am not usually a fan of non-fiction, but this was written so well, directly from the mouths of these dear ladies. I learned a lot about history and it was a book of hope. Loved it.

As eye-opening (for me, at least) as it was charming.

The Delany sisters are full of wisdom and encouragement. I am grateful they agreed to share their story for this book.
