Enjoyable and easy read but a mixed bag in comparison to the first book. The pacing was erratic and it was easy to be confused by what was going on and what had just happened. First half of the book suffered from this and seemed to sort itself out by the second half.

Really felt for Bridget though everything was happening to her.

There are snippets of the book that are enjoyable, and I like that this one loosely adapts Persuasion the way the first book loosely adapted Pride and Prejudice. However, long stretches of the book are kind of insufferable, and it’s annoying to read through them to get to the good bits (and the good bits aren’t worth it).
