This was really scary and intense. Makes you don't wanna do escape rooms. I don't like open endings so I give this three stars.

That ending left me sort of shocked! This was definitely a little darker for Ware's usual writing. At least I think the darkness is what Ware was trying to explain in her plot twist. This was a super quick read and somewhat enjoyable but I think I would have preferred this be a full length novel with some more background and conclusion of the plot.

This was a short story that you could get for free from Ruth Ware's website if you subscribed to her book club.

It was short and impactful. The main plot itself was just OK for me, BUT I really enjoyed the Escape Room experience (I'm a big fan of Escape Rooms). Reading this made me want to check out more thrillers involving Escape Rooms!
